2012 EMT CLASSES
Each class is subject to approval of DSHS. Course approval information will be provided upon request or registration.

Registration Guidelines: All students must speak, read and write English. Must take a Reading Comprehension exam. Classes meet from 8:30 to 5:00 pm. daily. Entrance requirements include proof of Flu, tetanus, mumps, measles, rubella, chicken pox vaccinations and a TB test (either x-ray or skin test) that is less than 6 months old. ALL SHOT RECORDS AND DRUG SCREEN ARE REQUIRED TO BE TURNED IN WITHIN THE FIRST WEEK OF CLASS.

Dress code is dark blue T-shirt (unprinted) or with EMS or Fire Department name, dark pants and shoes. Each class is subject to approval of DSHS. Course approval information will be provided upon request or registration. Tuition does not include Textbooks, NREMT registry/computer testing fee, or DSHS Certification fee. Clinical Guidelines - EMT: Two 12 hr. hospital rotations- Five 12 hr. ambulance rotations with a minimum of 5 transports.

Clinical Guidelines - EMT/I: 60 hr hospital / 120 hrs ambulance with 10 runs with student IV

*Clinicals must be completed before beginning the last week of class. The National Registry practical exams are generally given on the Saturday of the last week of class.
