Associate of Science, Nursing Degree

Our Blended Learning Program™ will assist you in earning an Associate of Science Degree from a reputable accredited institution. Our program is a combination of Distance Learning Systems, Inc. and ECI.

The Associate Degree in Nursing blends three nursing roles—provider of care, manager of patient care, and member of profession. Associate degree nursing requires knowledge that emphasizes concepts, principles, observation, critical thinking, and values. This program provides an alternative to traditional classroom instruction, but does require previous clinical experience, licensure, and/or certification. Upon successful completion of the associate degree program, individuals may be eligible to take their state board examination to become licensed Registered Nurses.

Previously earned college credit may be applied to this program. Even if there is no transferable credit, students will need only 7 general education and 7 nursing theory examinations, and successful performance on a weekend clinical examination to earn their associate degree. For more information call: DLSI at 1-888-955-3276 or visit http://www.dlsii.com or you may call ECI at 281-542-5151.

Bachelor of Science Degree

The Bachelor of Science degree in nursing is open to Registered Nurses and allows RNs to move into management and leadership roles. It provides an opportunity for the RN to use her clinical skills, while acting with autonomy, and dealing with multiple, complex issues. Baccalaureate degree nurses act as client advocates and are accountable for the quality of care provided.

Previously earned college credit may be applied to this program; 30 credit hours will be granted for candidates that hold associate degrees in nursing or that are diploma graduates validated by NCLEX-RN. A total of 121 semester credit hours will be earned through a combination of transferring credits, earning credit by examination, and completing clinical performance evaluations.
